Book details The Blemished Rose: Volume One is Paola's first book. It is a collection of poetry revealing pain and suffering that lay hidden in suppression for many years. The poems describe early childhood memories that came in the form of flashbacks and were at times quite disturbing; they also describe emotions released during the healing process. As a survivor of abuse and advocate against it, Paola now understands that her purpose in life is to help others and show that they are not alone. By publishing this collection of poetry, she hopes to raise more awareness about abuse survivors. She also hopes it will provide inspiration and encouragement to others.
