Bird's Song
Powerless bird unable to fly
Clamped down are both of her wings
writhing with pain she lets out a cry
harrowing trills she sings
Fly away bird with your wings spread wide
far away out of his reach
when you are stronger your worlds will collide
traumatic songs you will preach

Stop it Happening Again
I now understand my purpose in life
and why God put me here
after having a meaningless existence
my mission's now clear
To stop it happening again
I now understand my angst in life
and why it was all bad
after making the paedophile known
I really feel quite glad
To stop it happening again
I now understand patterns in my life
how it went from bad to worse
after standing up bold and proud
I'm really not adverse
To stop it happening again
I now understand the meaning of life
the suffering I've endured
until I realised my feelings
I couldn't be cured
To stop it happening again
I now understand the cruelty of life
the amount that I had
and to get the good
there must be some bad
To stop it happening again
I now understand the light in my life
and why things get better
after doing my deed
a personal vendetta
To stop it happening again
I now understand the beauty of life
and how it's not all bad
how one can be happy
and not always sad
To stop it happening again
I now understand the goals in my life
and what I must do
help other survivors who've
endured what I've been through
To stop it happening again
